Adrian Cannady joined Temple EDC as president and CEO in September 2018. Adrian previously led the Victoria Economic Development Corporation as vice president of marketing, where he helped expand local industry and attract new business to the region. Adrian is a West Point graduate with a Master of Science in economic development and entrepreneurship. He is a member of the Texas Economic Development Council and International Economic Development Council and serves on the boards of Team Texas and the Texas Economic Development Council.

Scott Connell joined Temple EDC as vice president in December 2018. Scott spent the past three decades in the economic development industry, helping communities in Texas and North Carolina recruit and retain companies through innovative and aggressive strategies. Scott led the economic development staff at the City of Fort Worth and previously served in various economic development leadership roles in Texas at Irving, Sherman, Waco, Belton, Victoria and Yoakum.

A Central Texas native, Jennifer Avery joined Temple EDC in June 2014. As operations director, she oversees the administrative and financial duties in cooperation with executive staff. Jennifer also oversees the Santa Fe Business Center, which houses the Temple EDC, Temple Chamber of Commerce and Workforce Solutions of Central Texas. Prior to joining the Temple EDC, Jennifer was an assistant branch manager at BBVA Compass.
Director of Marketing and Communications

Amanda Carlson

Amanda Carlson joined the Temple Economic Development Corporation as Director of Marketing and Communications in May of 2020. She has focused the last ten years of her career on working with non-profit organizations and has had the pleasure of working with some incredible people in Maine, Colorado, and now Texas. Amanda has helped steer teams towards new digital marketing best practices and has helped raise sales by 20% in a 6-month period, and boost membership numbers by 11% in a 12-month period. Graduating from the University of Southern Maine, Amanda holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. Though she may be an East Coaster she holds Central Texas in her heart after moving here while her husband was stationed at the Fort Hood Military Base. Now that their time in the Army is complete she and her husband are putting down roots in the local area and are eager to get involved in making Central Texas a wonderful place to live, work, and play.
