Temple Economic Development Corporation was proud to co-host with Belton Economic Development Corporation the Belton Independent School District’s Public Schools Luncheon. BISD celebrated Texas Public Schools Week with a luncheon on Wednesday, Mar. 13 at Cathedral Oaks. Superintendent Dr. Susan Kincannon spoke on the the District as “Daring Greatly” to meet the needs of students. With over 200 in attendance guests were entertained by the Belton High School Madrigal while Belton New Tech High School @ Waskow Junior Makayla Ferman and Belton High School Senior Evan Smith served as Masters of Ceremonies.
Awards for Volunteer of the Year were given to Jeannette Kelley and Terri Pare; the Business Partner Award to Harvest Technologies; the Community Partner Award to American Legion Post 55; the Educational Partner Award to Temple College Vocational Nursing Program; Distinguished Alumnus award to Jay Taggart; and the New Partner Award to Animal Medical Care.
