Everest Rehabilitation Hospitals, LLC is celebrating the grand opening of its cutting-edge rehabilitation hospital in Temple, Texas, today. The $23 million capital investment, 36-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital will result in 120 new jobs with an average annual salary of $52,000. The hospital is located in the Temple Medical & Education District (TMED) South.

It is comprised of all private rooms, both inpatient and outpatient therapy gyms, and offers cutting-edge rehabilitation technologies.”
Everest Rehabilitation Hospitals will join Temple’s thriving medical district that employs more than 40 percent of Temple’s workforce and is anchored by Baylor Scott & White Medical Center. Temple’s healthcare cluster also boasts McLane Children’s Hospital, the only children’s hospital between Dallas and Austin, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center, one of two major facilities in the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System, and Ascension Medical Group Temple. These medical facilities form the core of the Temple Medical and Education District (TMED), which is bolstered by education institutions, including Temple College, where high school students can enroll in applied sciences classes. Located on the Scott & White West Campus, the Texas Bioscience Institute (TBI) offers STEM-based programs to high school students, transitioning military personnel, and other degree-seeking individuals to promote a skilled and knowledgeable medical and biotechnology workforce in Central Texas. Early-stage biotech companies take advantage of the Temple Health and Bioscience District (THBD), a taxpayer-supported nonprofit bioscience office and laboratory facility.
