If you’ve gotten the sense that there’s been a ribbon-cutting frenzy in Temple, you’re not wrong. A number of businesses have recently sprung up, opened new locations or held ribbon-cutting ceremonies. And perhaps the biggest and most long-awaited was the Temple Animal Services’ grand re-opening of its shelter and adoption center. This month, we’ve got a recap of these openings, Leadership Temple updates, small business resources, and more.

Temple Animal Services’ Heart to Home Animal Adoption Center Reopens

After almost two years of renovations totalling $5 million, the Temple Animal Shelter has reopened with a new name: Heart to Home Animal Adoption Center. They’ve added 40 new climate-controlled kennels for dogs and 21 for cats, significantly increasing their capacity to shelter animals who need new homes. They’ve also added three new shaded play areas where people looking to adopt can interact with their potential new pets. Renovations to the lobby should also make drop-off donations and the adoption process smoother.

Other Grand Openings and Ribbon-Cutting Ceremonies in Temple
