TEMPLE, Texas — The Temple Economic Development Corporation (Temple EDC) and KEG 1 O’Neal, LLC (KEG 1) today announced that KEG 1 will soon begin a $10-million expansion project on 23 acres at the corner of Lucius McCelvey Drive and Enterprise Road.  The expansion will include construction of an 80,000-square foot new office and commercial distribution warehouse and is expected to create 50 additional jobs for a total of 110 employees.

The Temple EDC Board of Directors approved an economic development agreement that includes a land grant.

This expansion is welcome news, and we’re excited that KEG 1 chose Temple to invest further in.”

KEG 1 distributes a large assortment of alcoholic beverages to 30 counties in Texas, 12 of the 30 counties in Central Texas will be served from their Temple facility. KEG 1 strives to be the leader in delivering both quality products and exceptional service to every customer. KEG 1 has other facilities in Early, Fredericksburg, and Weatherford, Texas.

KEG 1 is the fourth company Temple EDC has assisted this year.  Over the course of FY 2017, Temple EDC has worked with KEG 1, Everest Rehabilitation Hospital, LLC, Bitmova, LLC and R&L Carriers to help them invest capital and create or maintain jobs in Temple.  To date, Temple EDC efforts have resulted in over $45 million in projected new capital investment and new and/or retained 316 jobs in the City.
