Scott & White Hospital Temple, now part of Baylor Scott & White Health just became the third facility to complete the rigorous process of ACE reaccreditation. The cardiac catheterization laboratory at Scott & White Hospital Temple is recognized for two ACE accreditations: Diagnostic Cardiac Catheterization & Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (Cath/PCI).

ACE accreditation and reaccreditation are strategic approaches to ensuring the delivery of the highest quality care as defined by nationally accepted best practices in invasive and interventional cardiology. To achieve ACE reaccreditation, the physicians and staff at Scott & White Hospital Temple worked in partnership with ACE’s expert reviewers to validate compliance with current published guidelines and consensus documents.

“The ACE reaccreditation process is a significant accomplishment that demonstrates a program’s renewed commitment to achieving the highest standards of care,” says Bonnie Weiner, M.D., MSEC, MBA, MSCAI, FACC, and ACE’s chief medical officer. “As a leader in interventional cardiology, Scott & White Hospital Temple once again serves as a model for hospitals aiming to better serve their patients.”

In addition, Emory University Hospital was named one of the nation’s 50 Best Hospitals for Adult Cardiology & Heart Surgery by U.S. News & World Report. Emory University Hospital is currently ACE-accredited for its catheterization and PCI programs. Emory University Hospital has a long history of national leadership in quality cardiovascular care, pioneering new techniques in angioplasty, intravascular imaging, and stent biomechanics.

Both Scott & White Hospital Temple and Emory University Hospital were also recently named among the nation’s 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals by Truven Health Analytics. These awards reflect the ongoing commitment to cardiovascular excellence by ACE-accredited facilities.

Scott & White Hospital Temple, formerly Scott & White Memorial Hospital, now part of Baylor Scott & White Health, is the largest not-for-profit health care system in Texas. Another member of the Baylor Scott & White Health family, the Baylor Jack and Jane Hamilton Heart and Vascular Hospital in Dallas, is also ACE-accredited for its catheterization and PCI programs.
