TEMPLE, TEXAS (November 18, 2025) — On Friday, October 31, the Texas Economic Development Council (Texas EDC) announced the election of its new board chair, new board treasurer, and new board members. Temple Economic Development Corporation (Temple EDC) President & CEO Adrian Cannady will serve Texas EDC as its 2026 Chair of the Board of Directors through October of 2026.
“I am humbled and honored to be given this opportunity to serve the Texas Economic Development Council,” Cannady said. “I look forward to getting to work with the rest of the board to help our state continue to be a global hub for business and economic advancement.”
Cannady, who has led Temple EDC since September of 2018, has been a member of the Texas EDC since 2003.

The TEDC’s Nominating Committee nominated seven individuals for election to the TEDC’s board of directors. The TEDC officially elected these new board members for terms beginning October 31, 2025:
- Lindsay Dennis, Development Corporation of Abilene
- Michael Kitten, Canyon Economic Development Corporation
- Wilson Peppard, Oncor
- Craig Rhodes, Greater Houston Partnership
- Jordan Robinson, Round Rock Chamber of Commerce
- Jeff Sandford, Stephenville Economic Development Authority
- Alora Wachholz, Seguin Economic Development Corporation
Heather Ledbetter, Manager of Economic Development for Oncor, was elected as Board Treasurer and is now in the rotation to be a future board chair of the Texas Economic Development Council.
The following board members were re-elected for another two-year term beginning October 31, 2025:
- Glenda Bassham, Sulphur Springs/Hopkins County Economic Development Corporation
- Regina Jo Carlson, Taylor Economic Development Corporation
- Scott Connell, Allen Economic Development Corporation
- Jason Greiner, Wylie Economic Development Corporation
- Tom Manskey, Odessa Development Corporation
The following board members whose terms expired October 31, 2025, were recognized for their board leadership:
- Jodi Carr, Ingleside Development Corporation
- Kasey Coker, The High Ground of Texas
- Raudel Garza, Edinburg Economic Development Corporation
- Adam Gawarecki, San Patricio County Economic Development Corporation
- Susan Gill, Lindale Economic Development Corporation
