TEMPLE, Texas (May 12, 2016)— Temple Economic Development Corporation (Temple EDC) today announced the launch of a new, redesigned version of its website, www.choosetemple.com. Key features of the site include a cleaner and more attractive design, a more engaging user experience with enhanced search and navigation.

The site’s refreshed and simplified look, combined with enhanced content, improved search functionality, and optimization for mobile devices allows site selectors and clients better access to information regarding demographics, Temple’s “Certified Sites Program”, key industries, community features and social media sites: YouTube, Facebook and Twitter.

“Our website has always been an important way for us to share information about the resources in Temple, Texas with prospective clients, citizens and visitors alike,” said David Blackburn, President of Temple EDC. “The redesigned website has a new look and improved functionality to ensure an easier and more engaging experience for users.”

One major area of improvement on the website is in the area of site selection. Over 1300 acres of available land have been pre-qualified and passed criteria for Temple’s “Certified Site Program.”

The program was benchmarked against 21 State programs including the State of Texas and is more comprehensive than 18 of the nation’s programs. The certified site designation serves as a pre-qualification, indicating that a property’s title is clear; that it possesses sufficient utilities and other infrastructure for industrial use, and that it is properly zoned and has adequate transportation access for such uses, among other criteria. Each property has a downloadable pdf containing site profile, physical description, transportation, utilities, environmental and community criteria.

The News & Press section features the latest announcements and under Partners & Publications users can find Temple EDC’s annual report, business report, and most recent Newsletters.
