Temple, TX–At the recent Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) in Las Vegas, Wilsonart received the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) President’s Award. The company’s contributions were recognized by Maria Stapperfenne, CMKBD, 2015 NKBA President, who presented the award to Wilsonart CEO Tim O’Brien during the Association’s State of the Industry Address at KBIS. Wilsonart has been a leading manufacturer of decorative engineered surfaces for 60 years, and has been a member of the NKBA for 10 years.
“We are proud to recognize Wilsonart for their commitment to growing the kitchen and bath industry and supporting our 14,000 member companies,” said Bill Darcy, NKBA CEO. “The NKBA values this industry support as we work to expand education, development and networking opportunities.”
The NKBA President’s Award was created in 2009 to recognize companies that are committed to growing the industry and supporting the association. According to Darcy, Wilsonart has shown an ongoing commitment to kitchen and bath professionals on both local and national levels.
“Wilsonart has been a fantastic industry partner and NKBA supporter,” said Stapperfenne. “Their continued commitment to kitchen and bath professionals on both local and national levels is unparalleled.”
For the past four years, Wilsonart has sponsored the NKBA’s 30 Under 30 program, which was built to acknowledge outstanding young professionals, while introducing these young individuals to new opportunities for growth and development in support of the industry.
“The 30 Under 30 program is something we’ve been thrilled to support as part of our overall commitment to the next generation of architecture and design professionals,” said O’Brien. “We’re honored by this recognition, and look forward to our continued partnership with the NKBA.”
